Artichokes with Polenta and Fried Egg

Artichoke`s flavor is slightly sour lemon, like flavor of cabbage and broccoli combined with a few drops of lemon, but much more subtle. Those who haven`t tried artichokes yetI strongly encourage - interesting and tasty difference from other veggie stuff :) That`s my first dish with artichokes so I prepared the simplest combination, cause I wanted to catch all of its flavour and taste exactly as it is.

Ingredients for 1 serving:

  • 3 pieces of artichokes in olive oil with herbs
  • 1/2 glass of semolina
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tomato

Heat the artichokes in olive oil with herbs. To approximately 1/2 glass of boiling water throw porridge in with turmeric and stir until it thickens properly. The mass reload on a saucer or a board covered with plastic wrap and form a regular shape of it. Let it stand in the fridge to set (for about 15 minutes). Now, cut polenta eg, squares, put a piece on a plate and place on it the warm artichokes, fried egg and fresh tomato slices. Finally, add the garnish of edible greens and serve.

Suggestions: For the polenta, you can add your favorite spices.

Version Light: Choose artichokes in light sauce instead of oil.
