When I recived a pot with lemon balm I was absolutely sure that`s mint... Fortunately, M. told me that`s lemon balm and after that I started preparing delicious meals with this herb. Check one of them out!
Ingredients for two:
- 2 chicken fillets
- herbal sea salt
- 400g thick, sour cream
- 1 tablespoon salad seasoning
- 1/2 cup green peas
- squeezed juice of 1/2 - 1 lemon
- a dozen of fresh lemon balm leaves
Throw fillets straight on the grill, sprinkle with salt and grill until the meat is completely white (even inside). Then put the fillets into the pan, pour about 1/4-1/3 cup of water, add cream and salad seasoning, green beans and lemon juice. Wait a few minutes stirring, until sauce is heated and slightly thickened. At the end add chopped lemon balm, stir again and serve.
Suggestions: For the sauce, you can also add other spices to further enhance its taste. Peas, for example, you can replace by corn, chopped peppers, etc. You can replace lemon juice by lime juice.
Version light: Instead cream, use plain yogurt.
